Cabin In The Mountains.

This past weekend could not have been more perfect. We spent our Labor Day weekend with 12 of our favorite people at a cabin in the mountains. This was our second round at this cabin, we went back in February when the mountain was snow capped.  I thought then it couldn't get much prettier but come to find out it is just as pretty at the end of summer!

We did the usual, played in the river & fished, bbq'd & ate lots of food, relaxed & napped, played lots of bags & cards, & drank plenty of cold beers. Overall we enjoyed the beautiful view & the great company. I must say I am truly lucky.

Just take a look for yourself...

Ladies Crafting Collective.

About once a month a group of my lady friends get together & craft. Sometimes it is the same craft like valentines or learning to knit or making little herb gardens, or sometimes it is a craft that one is currently working on or sometimes we just show up & craft with whatever is on hand. Typically how these things go down is we eat snacks, drink cocktails, & catch up. Oh & we sometimes craft.

This month was "I'll do whatever Elsa's doing!"  So my lady friends and I painted little wooden figurines to look like our husbands/significant others. It was a challenge, but very entertaining.

Family Hangs.

I am a little behind over here, but thats okay- better late than never.  At the beginning of the month my in-laws made their first trip to Portland to visit us! We were so happy to have them here with us for a week & show them all the things we love about Portland. We ate tons of food & sweets. Played cards, which is a Warning family tradition we don't get together without of few rounds of a card game! Made a quick drive out to the Coast. Visited the beautiful Rose Gardens & wondered around our great neighborhood.  I even put my father in-law and husband to work for a bit and they built my dream shelf, but more on that later!
